What, why, how?
We focus on social ecology as a complex of processes with which we must grapple and harmonize as much as possible in order to build sustainable futures. Our understanding of social ecology straddles the bio-psycho-social world, the material-environmental and the technological, the individual and the collective. We are guided by the mandate to intentionally make space for better futures to evolve. We hope to do this with both consciousness development reports that make transdiciplinary insight available for practical ideation; and through space making and organizational development. We hope to focus particularly on sustainable urban stewardship; promotion and training in art, craft, and trade; as well as business and strategy development for new, small, and localized enterprises and organizations.
We are hoping to incubate and cultivate sustainable knowledge, experimentation, education, and creativity for a rapidly evolving lifeworld. |

Research Report: Building for Cultural Transformation
Given the most general premises of environmental science, planetary limits, and global and local political tensions, we aim to draw insights from across disciplines and industries in order to locate proactive possibilities for individual, community, and small enterprise creativity. Our first report is in it's early brainstorming stage, and we are actively seeking contributors. Please reach out if you are interested in being involved. |
South Slope Park Conservancy
We are collaborating with local residents and stakeholders to revive neglected parks by building flood and climate resilience, community enrichment, and and beautification. The initiative is led by NYC horticultural expert and long-time community member William Curtis-Bey, whose company Green Bey Gardens, specializes in creating and managing restorative environments. |
Projects on the horizon:
Art, craft, trade, and horticultural residencies, training, and apprenticeships.
Brick & mortar NYC. We are seeking a significantly sized space proximal to Gowanus, South Slope, or central Brooklyn to house our operations, a plant nursery, and community-building education and events.

Intellectual literacy programming in media, philosophy, science, business, and law.
Residency programming outside NYC, for immersive development experiences beyond the urban environment.
